After finishing Mass Effect 3, many people were left only with disappointment or anger, and maybe an angrier cat who had a controller thrown at it. Bioware listened to the feedback and decided to get to work on a piece of downloadable content to keep their fanbase (and possibly their fanbase’s pets) happy.
This particular piece of DLC will release for free on July 4, if you live anywhere not North America and play on a PS3. If you don’t fall into that group of people and you live in North America or play on a PC or Xbox 360 elsewhere, it releases on June 26. Bioware claims that, “Through additional cinematic sequences and epilogue scenes, the Extended Cut will include deeper insight to Commander Shepard’s journey based on player choices during the war against the Reapers.”
The Extended Cut will not completely change the endings, but rather expand on them. The download itself will be a rather large 1.9 gigs. Will it be another disappointment or could it possibly confirm the reaper indoctrination theory many people have been looking into?
